How Does a Battery-Swapping Station Work?
Using a battery-swapping station is simple:
Auto-Fetch Location:
Upon arriving, the system auto-detects the driver’s location using GPS. Alternatively, the driver can:
- Scan the station’s QR/barcode.
- Manually enter the station's unique dealer code.
Queue Management:
- Implement a queue management system to handle driver arrivals efficiently.
- Drivers are placed in a queue based on their arrival and request priority.
- The driver checks battery availability at the station through the app.
- If batteries are available, the driver places a swap request via the app, which is sent to the station's system.
- The station processes the request by clicking "Process Order" on their app.
Drivers can remotely book a battery at a specific station before arriving.
Prepayment:
- The driver pays the swap amount (₹200/swap) to reserve the battery.
- The reserved battery is marked “Booked” in the station’s inventory.
Upon arrival, the scanning and swapping process is initiated.
- Either the driver or the station scans the returned battery.
- Updates are reflected on both the driver and station apps.
Charged Battery Scanning:
- The charged battery to be swapped is scanned.
- Both apps update the transaction details, including battery status and swap amount.
